Eligibility Requirements
- Educational Background: National Diploma in Public Administration/Management/Political Science or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience: Relevant working experience at ASD level in a related environment is required.
- Skills: Proficiency in policy analysis, planning, people management, financial management, problem-solving, computer literacy, facilitation, and presentation.
- Licenses and Certifications: A valid driver’s license is essential. Candidates must be willing to undergo security clearance.
- Personal Attributes: Candidates should be creative, trustworthy, assertive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or under pressure. Preparedness to travel and work extended hours is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Parliamentary and Cabinet Correspondence: Coordinate departmental responses to parliamentary questions and cabinet matters, including preparation of briefings and advice.
- Research and Reporting: Conduct relevant research and develop reports for the Presidency and other Departments. Manage a register of parliamentary correspondences and advice.
- Procedural and Administrative Advice: Provide support and specialist advice on parliamentary processes, ensuring compliance with communication protocols.
- Training and Implementation: Coordinate training on parliamentary and cabinet protocols and implement cabinet resolutions effectively.
- Stakeholder Relations: Serve as a liaison between the Parliament, various departments, and strategic stakeholders, enhancing communication and cooperation
