Remuneration: R176,768.78 per annum, plus standard municipal benefits.
Requirements:
- Education: National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Office Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant role.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent telephone etiquette.
- Fluency in both IsiZulu and English.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Capable of working under pressure and beyond standard hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic support to the Senior Manager of Community and Social Services.
- Liaise with subordinates reporting to the Senior Manager.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondences.
- Coordinate functions between the Senior Manager’s office and other departments.
- Arrange travel and bookings for the Senior Manager.
- Ensure timely submission of reports.
- Coordinate between the Senior Manager and departmental units.
- Manage the Senior Manager’s diary and prepare weekly programs.
- Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, and type minutes.
- Follow up on meeting decisions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by superiors.
2. Handyman
Remuneration: R175,768.78 per annum, plus standard municipal benefits.
Requirements:
- Education: National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- Qualification: N3 Certificate in Built Environment or related qualifications with a trade test in Plumbing or Bricklaying.
- Experience: 2-3 years in the building industry.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in English and IsiZulu.
- Valid C1 Driver’s License.
- No criminal record or pending cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct building renovations and upgrades as instructed.
- Perform routine inspections of municipal buildings for maintenance issues.
- Communicate material and tool requirements to support staff.
- Travel to work sites and handle preparatory tasks.
- Replace fixtures such as locks, handles, and taps, and test their functionality.
- Perform plumbing tasks including new installations, repairs, and unblocking sewer lines.
- Carry out other building-related duties as needed.
