HR Data Analyst Job Description
The HR Data Analyst at Vaal University of Technology will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department. The primary responsibilities include streamlining HR processes, maintaining data integrity, analyzing HR metrics, and supporting decision-making through comprehensive data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Streamlining and Automating HR Processes: Optimize HR workflows for a seamless recruitment experience, aiming for a 90-day turnaround time.
- Monitoring Recruitment Metrics: Analyze and monitor key recruitment metrics to ensure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
- Data Integrity: Maintain data accuracy and integrity across all HR systems and processes, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and legal requirements.
- Organizational Management: Oversee the management of organizational structures and regularly update organizational charts.
- System Audits: Conduct regular audits of HR systems to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors promptly.
- HR Reporting: Generate and analyze HR reports to provide insights on key metrics and trends, aiding strategic planning.
- Decision Support: Provide accurate and timely HR data to support informed decision-making processes.
- Trend Analysis: Identify and analyze trends in employee data to guide strategic HR initiatives.
- Training and Support: Offer training and support to HR staff on utilizing HR systems and understanding processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth transitions to automated workflows.
- Process Optimization: Continuously analyze and optimize HR processes across the entire value chain to enhance efficiency.
- Complex Data Communication: Effectively communicate complex data findings in a clear and understandable manner to various stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education:
- A post-graduate degree in Information Technology is essential.
- An Advanced Diploma in Human Resources will be considered an added advantage.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role is required.
- Experience with software development and HR systems is essential, with experience in ITS systems considered a plus.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365) and HR software (HRIS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
