About the Job
As an ICT Technician at TASEZ, your primary role will be to maintain the integrity of ICT infrastructure, networks, and systems. This includes hardware installation, software troubleshooting, LAN support, network administration, and incident management.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves three main areas:
1. People Coordination
- Plan, organize, lead, and control ICT-related activities.
- Ensure effective communication within the ICT department.
2. Desktop & LAN Support
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Liaise with service providers to resolve hardware-related problems.
- Install hardware and software based on user requirements.
- Provide technical support in case of system failures.
- Maintain and relocate hardware, ensuring equipment servicing.
- Stay updated with latest technology trends.
- Conduct regular ICT infrastructure maintenance.
3. Administer & Maintain ICT Networks
- Set up network user profiles.
- Configure network printers, directories, menus, and drive mappings.
- Administer network stability and responsiveness.
- Assist staff with network-related issues.
- Monitor network problems such as file server traffic and performance.
- Guide users on backup and restore procedures.
- Maintain backup logs and ensure antivirus software is up to date.
- Keep an inventory of ICT assets.
4. Incident Management & Reporting
- Maintain an ICT Service Desk.
- Log reported issues and track their resolution.
- Prepare quarterly ICT reports.
