SALARY: R293 620 per annum, (plus benefits)
CENTRE: Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital (CHBAH)
REQUIREMENTS:
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma or Degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse with basic psychiatric qualification. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council. Competencies/Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrate an understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practices. Perform a clinical nursing practice in accordance with the scope of practice and nursing standards as determined by the relevant health facility. Promote quality of nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standards as determined by the relevant health facility.
DUTIES:
- Provide optimal, holistic, specialised nursing care with set standards and within a professional/legal framework.
- Effective utilisation of resources. Participate in training and research. Provide support to nursing services.
- Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Act as shift leader in the unit (where necessary).
- Demonstrate effective communication with patients, supervisors and other health professionals and junior colleagues.
- Implementation of Ideal Hospital Framework. Comply with the performance management and development system.
