The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) continues to offer social security to beneficiaries through different grants (Older person’s grant (old age pension), Child support grant, Disability grant, Social relief of distress (R350 grant), etc.) that are strictly aimed at alleviating poverty in South Africa. November is almost here, and that means new payment dates. SASSA grant November dates have been confirmed.
SASSA Grant November Payment Dates
SASSA issue grant payments on the second of each month, excluding weekends so, if the second day is on a Saturday, grant payment will commence on the 4th of that month, starting with the elderly grant.
Following are the November grant payment dates.
- Wednesday, 02 November 2022 – Older Person
- Thursday, 03 November 2022 – Disability Grant
- Friday, 04 November 2022 – Children Grant
SASSA R350 SRD Grant Payment Dates for November 2022
There are no set payment dates for the Social Relief of Distress R350 grant, beneficiaries can check the status of their application on the SRD website. Payment will be made as soon as you receive an approval confirmation for that month.
Please be reminded that the COVID-19 SRD payment amount remains R350 per person, per month.
Beneficiaries are urged to provide their correct bank account information so that SASSA can expedite their grant payments. The applicant’s bank account should still be active and registered in his or her name.
How To Change Contact Details on the SRD Website
Applicants of the COVID-19 SRD can update their contact details on the SRD website at http://srd.sassa.gov.za/ under the tab ‘How do I change my contact details’.
Enter your ID number in the box. An SMS with a secure link unique to you will be sent to the mobile phone number you provided during the application process.
Click on the link in the SMS and carefully follow the instructions.
If you choose to pay with a bank account, please ensure that you are the account’s owner. SASSA cannot deposit your grant into the bank account of another person.
If you choose to transfer money through one of the major banks, please make sure that the mobile phone number from which you received the SMS is registered in your name. SASSA will not pay your grant into a mobile phone number that is registered to someone else.
Please keep in mind that the new banking information will be used for future payments, after verification.
