Requirements for Senior Organisational Development Practitioner
National Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Management Services /Operations Management /Organisational Development /Organisation and Work Study or Human Resource Management (Certificate in Job Evaluation will be an added advantage). Minimum of one-year experience in organisational development field. In-depth understanding of the legislative framework that governs Job Evaluation and Organisational Design. Knowledge of the Public Services Evaluate Job Evaluation system. Proven knowledge and experience in work study, organization design, organization development, job evaluation, business process management and project management and working knowledge in business process mapping. Computer literacy, communication (verbal & written) skills, planning and organising skills. Facilitation and presentation skills, problem solving and decision making skills.
Duties
Review, align and develop structure based on Departmental strategic objective and mandates. Facilitate the costing of post establishment structures, Coordinate the determination of post provisioning norms, facilitate the implementation of organizational design and development strategies, develop and review services delivery model annually to assist and support management in determining the most suitable operating model. Conduct job evaluation in line with departmental and national policy guidelines. Quality assure preliminary evaluated jobs. Present to the panel the job evaluation grading results, update JE register in line with approved JE results, develop and maintain job evaluation database. Facilitate the development and review of job descriptions, identify job descriptions to be developed and reviewed. Quality assure job description as completed by line managers, maintain job descriptions database. Identify and update current processes. Develop new business processes, conduct business processes mapping, work method improvement and standard operating procedures. Evaluate the implementation of business process management.
