Purpose of the Venue Coordinator Role
The Venue Coordinator will ensure NMISA’s meeting and communal facilities maintain top-tier hygiene, cleanliness, and functionality. This role significantly contributes to staff morale, upholds NMISA’s professional image, and enhances hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilities Coordination:
- Oversee the staff tearoom, ensuring daily setup of supplies and maintaining a clean environment.
- Manage meeting room usage, including locking/unlocking, organizing equipment, and tidying after use.
- Maintain presentation equipment like projectors and remotes, ensuring they are in working condition.
- Stock and Hygiene Management:
- Monitor kitchen stock levels and reorder as needed.
- Ensure cleaning materials are adequately stocked for uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain high hygiene standards across communal and meeting spaces.
- Security and Compliance:
- Secure the building by locking/unlocking as required.
- Adhere to safety and health regulations, ensuring safe working practices.
- Additional Duties:
- Stand in at reception when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Corporate Services.
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for the Venue Coordinator role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with at least two years of relevant experience.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Basic computer literacy.
- Understanding of hygiene standards and health and safety regulations.
- Hospitality and customer service experience.
- Personal Attributes:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
