Key Responsibilities
- Research: Conduct innovative research on public administration issues, focusing on housing, human settlements, service delivery, and disaster risk management.
- Publications: Co-author at least three publications in DHET accredited journals.
- Presentations: Present research findings at national and international conferences.
- Supervision: Co-supervise relevant postgraduate research and collaborate with other postdoctoral fellows.
- Mentoring: Assist in mentoring junior staff and students by sharing expertise.
- Project Initiation: Initiate and lead research-based projects within the department and seek external funding opportunities.
- Research Management: Contribute to the overall management and activities of research projects.
Minimum Requirements
- Academic Qualification: Doctor of Administration, Public Affairs, or a related discipline with a focus on Housing, Human Settlements, or Service Delivery, obtained within the past 5 years.
- Visa Requirement: For international applicants, a long-term visitor’s visa (Section 11(1)(b) Visitors Visa) endorsed for academic activities with MUT is required.
- Publication Record: At least 2 journal papers (DHET accredited) in the public administration discipline published in the last 24 months.
- Employment History: Must not have held full-time permanent academic or professional employment previously.
