Qualifications and Experience:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 Certificate.
- Post-Matric Qualifications: Three years post-Matric qualifications in any of the following:
- Marketing
- Customer Service
- Business Management
- Public Relations
- Experience: Proven experience in customer service or related fields. Experience at Metrobus with an extensive knowledge of routes will be an advantage.
- Skills: Computer literacy, excellent communication skills, and a proven record of responsible conduct.

- Request Handling: Efficiently handle service requests, queries, and complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Customer Service Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information, addressing customer inquiries, and maintaining a professional image of Metrobus. Your daily duties will include:
- Customer Engagement: Manage a daily average of customer inquiries by ensuring that attended clients are satisfied. You will also handle walk-in passengers within a 5-minute response time, ensuring that all activities are recorded in your daily report.
- Information Accuracy: Provide 100% accurate information at all times, understanding all inquiries to offer effective and immediate solutions.
- Customer Satisfaction: Aim to achieve a 90% rating on the customer satisfaction surveys conducted on you.
- Operational Compliance: Ensure compliance with all customer service standards, standard operating procedures, and Metrobus’s operational requirements.
- Corporate Image Maintenance: Respond to clients and maintain customer relations to uphold Metrobus’s corporate image.
- Query Logging: Ensure all queries are logged/registered regardless of their nature.
- Efficient Reporting: Compile reports and maintain workstations in good condition, ensuring all faults are addressed immediately.
