Requirements:
- NQF Level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent)
- Knowledge of job functions, communication, interpersonal relations, flexibility, teamwork, and accuracy
- Skills in communication, literacy, good eyesight, and teamwork
Duties:
- Operate and maintain road building equipment (e.g., grader, bulldozer, front-end loader, tipper truck)
- Execute daily administrative tasks and plan road maintenance activities, including material and equipment management
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and provide performance feedback to the Road Works Foreman
- Measure production, calculate costs, monitor progress and quality of work, and manage inventory
- Supervise resources, motivate and discipline the team, and maintain safety regulations
- Attend meetings and communicate with district personnel
