Northlink College in South Africa is currently looking for a Diesel Mechanic Facilitator to join their Bellville Campus on a fixed-term contract.     Diesel Mechanic Job Overview

    • Position: Facilitator – Diesel Mechanic
    • Salary Range: R256,395 – R410,565 per annum (excluding benefits)
    • Contract Period: 01 December 2024 – 31 December 2025
    • Location: Bellville Campus, Northlink College
    • Reference Number: NLC/94/2024

    Minimum Requirements

    To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    1. Qualifications:
      • Must be a qualified Diesel Mechanic.
      • Possess a minimum of an N3 Certificate.
    2. Experience:
      • Minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
      • Prior teaching or training experience is advantageous.
    3. Skills:
      • Must be prepared to teach both theory and practical applications.
      • Knowledge of Diesel Mechanic programmes, including CBMT, Learnerships, Apprenticeships, ARPL, and Accredited Skills Programmes.
      • Computer literacy.
    4. Additional Recommendations:
      • Qualified Assessor (recommended).
      • Moderator (recommended).
      • Valid driver’s license (recommended).
      • Registration with SACE (recommended).

    Key Duties

    The selected candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

    • Facilitating Diesel Mechanic courses, covering both theory and practical lessons.
    • Handling administrative tasks related to a Post Level 1 Facilitator role, including grading and assessment.
    • Creating a conducive learning environment that promotes discipline and active learning.
    • Evaluating students’ performance and providing feedback.
    • Sharing expertise to help students build strong foundational skills in diesel mechanics.
