About the KZN Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Learnership
The DARD Learnership Program is designed to empower unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 35. Requirements
To be considered for this learnership program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- South African Citizenship: Applicants must be South African citizens residing in KwaZulu-Natal.
- Age: Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Education Requirements:
- For NQF Level 2: Candidates must have completed AET Level 4/Standard 7/Grade 9 or Grade 10, or have completed and been deemed competent in NQF1/2 in Animal/Plant Production.
- For NQF Level 3: Candidates must have completed and been deemed competent in NQF Level 3 in Animal/Plant Production.
- For NQF Level 4: Candidates must have completed Grade 12/Standard 10 and passed English, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences. They should also have completed and been deemed competent in NQF Level 3 in Animal/Plant Production.

Interested candidates can obtain the application form from the DARD website www.dard.gov.za. It is important to complete the application in your own handwriting, ensuring that no spaces are left blank. The application form must be signed and dated by the applicant.
