What is the Necsa Learning Academy Apprenticeship Programme?
Necsa Learning Academy is offering apprenticeship vacancies in two critical occupational trades:
1. Metal Machinist (Turner)
A Metal Machinist is a highly skilled professional specializing in manufacturing precision metal parts and instruments. Their work involves using machinery such as:
- Lathes
- Milling machines
- Grinders
- Advanced CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment
If you have a passion for precision engineering, problem-solving, and working with metals, this could be the perfect career for you.
2. Toolmaker
A Toolmaker is responsible for creating:
- Precision tools
- Molds
- Jigs and fixtures
- Dies used in manufacturing
This trade is ideal for those who enjoy technical drawing, engineering mechanics, and working with high-precision tools.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Necsa Apprenticeship Programme, you must meet the following academic requirements:
- NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) with Maths and Science, OR
- N2-N6 certificate with 4 subjects (including relevant trade theory), OR
- Technical Matric with Maths, Science, and relevant trade theory, OR
- NCV Level 3/4 Engineering Certificate with 7 subjects (including relevant trade theory)
Additionally, candidates must:
- Have technical knowledge
- Be able to work in a team
- Meet medical fitness, security clearance, qualification verification, and technical assessments requirements
