Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Qualification: A relevant qualification in nursing and current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant (Auxiliary Nurse).
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Batho Pele Principles, the Patient’s Rights Charter, and other prescripts relevant to the nursing profession.
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
- Basic clinical writing skills and interpersonal skills.
- Experience: Verified proof of work experience.
Responsibilities
As an Enrolled Nursing Assistant, successful candidates will:
- Assist and support patients with daily living activities, including physical care and self-care tasks.
- Deliver quality nursing care in line with the scope of practice and relevant guidelines.
- Provide elementary clinical nursing care and health education to patients, families, and the community to promote overall health.
- Ensure professional growth by adhering to ethical standards and pursuing self-development.
- Maintain constructive relationships with nurses, stakeholders, and other healthcare team members.
- Utilize materials and resources efficiently and effectively.
- Function as a key part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
