Job Purpose:
- To support the Durban Film Office (DFO) in establishing Durban as a premier destination for on-location filming.
- Promote Durban’s film facilities and services to diverse audiences.
- Position the DFO as the central hub for all film-related information in Durban.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Assist in developing and managing annual film services programs in alignment with the Durban Film Office Business Plan.
- Information Management: Maintain internal systems for disseminating comprehensive information on filming locations, permit requirements, policies, and general production details.
- Service Coordination: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the Durban Film Office’s service offerings.
- Policy Development: Contribute to policy formulation and relationship management to support the film office’s goals.
- Data Monitoring: Monitor, analyze, and report on film, TV, animation, and commercial production data across eThekwini Municipality.
