1. Office of the Municipal Manager
Director: Technical Services
- Ref: 02/GGM/2024
- Location: Greater Giyani Municipality, Giyani
- Remuneration Package: R913,969 (minimum) – R1,123,501 (maximum) per annum, including a 4% remote allowance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or BTech: Engineering.
- Five years of middle management experience in Technical Services or project management.
- Good knowledge of governance, policy frameworks, and engineering planning.
- Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee infrastructure management, including roads and stormwater systems.
- Formulate strategic goals and implement maintenance plans.
- Manage the Municipal Infrastructure Grant (MIG) and Extended Public Works Program (EPWP).
Director: Planning and Local Economic Development
- Ref: 03/GGM/2024
- Location: Greater Giyani Municipality, Giyani
- Remuneration Package: R913,969 (minimum) – R1,123,501 (maximum) per annum, including a 4% remote allowance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Town and Regional Planning or Development Studies.
- Five years of middle management experience.
- Strong understanding of SPLUMA and municipal legislative frameworks.
- Registration as a Professional Planner.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for planning and local economic development.
- Develop sectoral plans and ensure compliance with the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA).
- Oversee implementation of development policies and municipal growth strategies.
2. Security Services
Security Guards (3 Positions)

- Salary Scale: R164,218.50 per annum.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate and a security certificate (A-C).
- PSIRA certification.

- Perform physical security services and ensure safety compliance.
3. Internship Opportunities
Internal Audit Intern

Responsibilities:
- Manage waste disposal sites and conduct environmental awareness programs.
Senior Licensing Officer

- Salary Scale: R474,748.10 – R511,469.13 per annum.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Public Administration.
- ENATIS certificate preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Process vehicle licensing and registration applications.
6. Technical Services
General Workers (8 Positions)

- Salary Scale: R164,218 – R183,435.86 per annum.
Requirements:
- Grade 8 certificate.
Responsibilities:
- Road maintenance, cemetery cleaning, and gardening services.
