Key Role and Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator Technical will be responsible for ensuring that infrastructure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within cost, time, and quality constraints. The job involves overseeing various aspects of project management, planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
Duties Include
- Supporting the provision of infrastructure project management standard services by ensuring all activities comply with Eskom’s project methodology and governance structures
- Coordinating and reporting on project activities to keep project stakeholders informed and ensure all project phases align with Eskom’s standards
- Providing support during project planning by assisting with scheduling, risk assessment, and milestone tracking
- Coordinating the timely supply of project materials to ensure necessary resources are available for smooth execution
- Managing project employees and contractors to oversee the team and ensure efficient project execution
- Facilitating and coordinating outages required for commissioning to ensure seamless commissioning of the project
- Providing support to project engineering by collaborating with the engineering team to ensure project feasibility
- Complying with Eskom governance and SHERQ standards to adhere to safety, health, environment, risk, and quality regulations
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria
Educational Qualification
- National Diploma in Built Environment, Commerce, or Human Sciences
- NQF Level 6 Qualification with 240 Credits
Work Experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience in Project Management or Construction Management
Professional Registration
- Registered with the South African Council of Project and Construction Management Professionals SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Project Manager PrCPM
