Purpose:
The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the acquisition of goods and services at the Robben Island Museum and managing various supply chain procedures.
Key Duties:
- Sourcing quotations and assessing information from suppliers.
- Managing the supplier database and requisitions.
- Following up on outstanding orders.
- Maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications & Experience:
- National Diploma in Finance, Business Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics Management (NQF Level 6).

2. Librarian
- Job Grade: 10
- Salary: R267,607.28 – R374,650.19 per annum
- Contract: 12 Months
Purpose:
The Librarian will manage the Resource Centre at Robben Island, ensuring it meets the needs of RIM staff, students, and residents.
Key Duties:
- Conduct research on new archival materials.
- Manage the cataloguing system and update it regularly.
- Develop a resource database and monitor environmental conditions for book conservation.
- Assist students with software use and ensure adherence to library rules.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Management (NQF Level 7).
- 2 years of relevant experience in a Heritage or Museum Library.

Purpose:
The Specialised Tour Guiding Officer will narrate and monitor the stories of Robben Island’s history, particularly regarding the political imprisonment narrative, and assist in training new tour guides.
Key Duties:
- Conduct VIP prison tours and present political history to various groups.
- Provide orientation for new tour guides and ensure consistency in narrative delivery.
- Conduct site-specific tours and assist researchers and visiting scholars.
- Participate in oral history workshops for narrative development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience of incarceration at Robben Island.
- Fluency in English and at least one other official South African language.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to identify issues and develop new ideas for improvement.
