Minimum Requirements:
- An undergraduate qualification at NQF Level 7, plus a post-graduate qualification at NQF Level 8.
- Certificate for entry into the Senior Management Service (SMS) endorsed by the National School of Government.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience at a Senior Managerial level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and management of social assistance and related services in the region.
- Implement strategic frameworks, policies, and guidelines for social security operations.
- Ensure compliance with the SASSA Act and promote good governance within the region.
2. Chief Executive Officer
Salary: R2,259,984 – R2,545,854 per annum, plus 10% non-pensionable HoD Allowance
Location: Head Office – Pretoria (Five-year fixed-term contract)
Minimum Requirements:
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) plus a post-graduate qualification (NQF level 8) as recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior managerial role, preferably in a public entity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and accountability in the implementation of social security programs.
- Ensure the effective management of the administration and payment of social security assistance.
- Serve as a key communication link between SASSA and the Minister/Executive Authority.

3. Department Coordinator: Grants Operations
Salary: R376,413 – R443,403 p.a., exclusive of benefits
Location: Head Office – Pretoria (Permanent)
Minimum Requirements:
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6/7) as recognized by SAQA.
- 2 to 3 years of administrative experience.
- Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Grants Operations department.
- Assist with the development, finalization, and management of documents.
- Support financial management and internal management processes.
4. General Administrative Support (Various Regions)
Location: Available in multiple regions, including Free State, Northern Cape, Limpopo, Western Cape, and Mpumalanga.
Minimum Requirements:
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6/7) as recognized by SAQA.
- 2 to 3 years of administrative experience.
