Supply Chain Management Practitioner Job Description
The successful applicant will be responsible for rendering Supply Chain Management (SCM) services, including providing comprehensive Logistics Management support. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that departmental operations run smoothly and efficiently, aligning with public service standards.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supply Chain Management Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
- Logistics Support Services
- Coordinate and process requisitions for goods and services.
- Oversee the safekeeping and distribution of goods.
- Monitor and manage stock inventory, including bin cards and discrepancies.
- System Administration
- Perform LOGIS system control functions.
- Collaborate with Provincial Treasury User Support on system queries and user accounts.
- Payment Administration
- Manage the process of supplier payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Supervisory Role
- Lead and oversee team members to achieve operational goals effectively.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Education: An appropriate 3-year National Diploma or B-Degree (or equivalent or higher qualification).
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management.
Additional Recommendations
- Driver’s License: A valid Code B (or higher) driving license is advantageous.
