Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to provide essential support services to the Urban Traffic Control Unit. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining, assembling, and testing traffic signals, ensuring smooth operation of traffic flow across the city.
Key Responsibilities
As a Traffic Signals Assistant, your role will include:
- Digging Cable Trenches:
- Prepare sites for the installation of traffic signal equipment by digging cable trenches and carrying necessary tools to excavation areas.
- Assembling Traffic Signal Equipment:
- Assist in assembling various traffic signal components, ensuring they are correctly installed and secured.
- Supporting Artisan and Technician:
- Provide assistance during the mounting and testing of traffic signals to ensure the smooth installation and functionality of equipment.
- Safety Adherence:
- Follow all safety precautions and procedures during installation and maintenance activities.
- Additional Duties:
- Take on other relevant assignments as required by the supervisor to support overall road system management.
