The Education, Training and Development Practices Sector Education and Training Authority (ETDP SETA) is seeking to employ two suitably qualified and competent Regional Managers. These positions are aimed at accelerating performance achievement and ensuring compliance with ETDP SETA’s processes and policies. The Regional Managers will be based at the ETDP SETA’s head office, managing multiple provinces to achieve organizational objectives.

Regional Managers Job Purpose
The Regional Managers will play a crucial role in ensuring that the ETDP SETA meets its set objectives and targets within the outlined timeframes in accordance with the operational plan and the Annual Performance Plan. The appointed Regional Managers will also be responsible for sound budget management, payment processes within the allocated timeframes, and ensuring compliance with all ETDP SETA processes and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee the timely implementation of projects in accordance with Skills Development Regulations and audit requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities align with ETDP SETA processes, policies, and service level agreements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate regular engagement with stakeholders to ensure services are delivered according to expectations.
- Guidance and Support: Provide direction and support to provincial offices on all aspects of skills development.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of strategic and annual performance plans for ETDP SETA.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address challenges faced by provincial offices.
- Reporting: Report on services provided against signed performance contracts.
- Leadership: Lead and inspire a diverse team of employees to achieve organizational goals.
Minimum Requirements
- Educational Qualifications:
- Postgraduate Degree (NQF Level 8) in Education, Training, and Development, Business Administration/Management, Public Administration, Strategic Management, or an ETD-relevant qualification.
- A Master’s Degree (NQF Level 9) in Business Administration or Business Leadership will be advantageous.
- A certificate in Project Management is an added advantage.
- Work Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years of working experience in a skills development environment.
- At least three (3) years of experience at a senior management level.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Sound knowledge of Project Management, SETA landscape, and skills development legislation.
- Proficiency in business management, financial management, strategic and performance management principles.
- Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office packages.
- Proven ability to lead and manage people, processes, and systems effectively.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different provinces.

Reporting Lines

The employee will enter into a performance contract with the ETDP SETA and may be subject to a psychometric evaluation in accordance with ETDP SETA policies and procedures.
