Purpose of the Case Management Officer Role
The primary goal of the Case Management Officer is to efficiently handle public queries and assist with appropriate processing procedures. This involves screening cases according to relevant legislation and CCMA guidelines. The role is crucial in ensuring that cases are managed effectively, from initial advice through to final resolution.
Responsibilities
As a Case Management Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Case Advice: Providing expert guidance to the public on case-related queries.
- Case Screening: Assessing cases to determine their validity and relevance under current laws and CCMA guidelines.
- Case Capturing: Accurate data entry and recording of case information into the system.
- Schedule and Screen Documentation: Organizing and reviewing documentation to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Process Outcome and Finalize Cases: Managing the case process to its conclusion, ensuring all outcomes are properly documented and communicated.
- Venue Administration: Coordinating and managing venues for case proceedings and other related activities.
- Pre-Conciliation: Facilitating pre-conciliation meetings to resolve disputes before formal hearings.
Key Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Qualifications: Matric and Diploma in Labour Relations or a relevant equivalent qualification.
- Experience:
- At least one (1) year of practical experience in a related field such as Employment Laws, Trade Union environment, Bargaining Council, Labour Inspector, or Human Resources.
- Alternatively, three (3) years of relevant experience in any of the mentioned areas will also be considered.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in at least two African languages will be an advantage.
- Additional Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
