- About the Role
MICT SETA seeks to employ two Advisors: ETQA on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidates will play a vital role in developing and implementing a quality management system for education and training. This includes managing accreditation, monitoring training providers, and overseeing moderation processes.
The Advisors will report to the Senior Manager: ETQA and will be based at MICT SETA’s offices in Midrand.
Key Responsibilities
Accreditation and Quality Assurance
- Manage accreditation-related projects and provide guidance to training providers.
- Monitor training sites to ensure compliance with MICT SETA’s standards.
- Compile and present progress reports on provider accreditation and project implementation.
- Conduct site visits and provide recommendations for interventions where necessary.
- Supervise training projects, including Artisan and Non-Artisan initiatives.
- Handle panel assessments and facilitate the Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL) process.
- Maintain accurate records for auditing purposes.
Risk and Compliance
- Respond to routine and complex queries within the business unit.
- Assist in managing document flows, including archiving and retrieval of confidential information.
- Support internal and external audit processes by maintaining quality standards and evidence.
- Identify and manage risks in line with the organization’s governance framework.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Stakeholder Management and Relations
- Build and sustain relationships with MICT SETA’s stakeholders.
- Provide advocacy on quality assurance matters to empower stakeholders.
- Represent MICT SETA in committees, industry forums, and conferences.
- Communicate effectively to keep stakeholders informed about progress and challenges.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Human Resource Development
- Public Management
- Project Management
- Business Management
- Or an equivalent NQF7 qualification.
- At least 4 years of experience in Education, Training, and Quality Assurance.
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Skills Development and National Qualifications Framework Acts.
- QCTO processes and procedures.
- Skills Development policies and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- A qualification in Total Quality Management will be advantageous.
