The selected candidate will be responsible for providing support and professional advice to all SANBI Business Units regarding SCM policies, procedures, processes, practices, systems, and frameworks governed by the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, and other legislation.
Key Responsibilities
As an Administration Officer in Supply Chain Management at SANBI, your role will include:
- Procurement Processes:
- Managing all procurement processes in accordance with SCM policies, procedures, systems, and frameworks.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation such as the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
- Quotation Sourcing and Evaluation:
- Handling end-to-end administrative matters related to quotation sourcing, evaluation, and awarding processes.
- Ensuring transparency and efficiency in sourcing and evaluating quotations.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Providing professional services and advice to suppliers and other related stakeholders.
- Managing effective communication with various internal and external parties.
- Governance, Risk, and Compliance:
- Assisting in managing governance, risk, and compliance matters within the Supply Chain Management framework.
- Ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and policies.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Financial Management, Logistics or equivalent at NQF 6 with 4 years of relevant work experience OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Financial Management, Logistics or equivalent at NQF 7 with 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Postgraduate Degree in a related field (at NQF 8) is an added advantage.
Essential Competencies:
- Extensive knowledge of legislation, policies, and systems related to supply chain management.
- In-depth knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, and Generally Recognized Accounting Practice.
- Advanced planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, and Outlook.
- A valid driver’s license with at least one-year practical driving experience.
- Willingness to travel when necessary.
