Key Responsibilities
As a Hygiene Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in laboratories and office spaces. Your role will be essential in maintaining a safe and orderly environment for research activities. Specific duties will include:
- General Cleaning Duties:
- Maintaining cleanliness across various areas such as floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common spaces.
- Tasks will involve dusting, sweeping, mopping, polishing, and cleaning windows and walls.
- Laboratory Hygiene:
- Ensuring that laboratory glassware and equipment are properly cleaned, maintained, and stored in designated areas.
- Washing of laboratory coats and replenishing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed in specific areas.
- Waste Management:
- Emptying dustbins daily and managing waste in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) protocols.
- Ensuring that waste is disposed of properly, especially in laboratory environments where different types of waste must be handled carefully.
- Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Compliance:
- Adhering to cleaning best practices and maintaining full compliance with OHS standards and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all.
Requirements
