The successful candidates will report directly to the Manager: Asset and will contribute to the overall financial integrity of the organization.
Position Overview
The position of Asset Controller is instrumental in implementing effective asset management systems and processes. It ensures compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies. Based at the Kruger National Park, the incumbents will be responsible for maintaining the asset register, coordinating asset-related activities, and ensuring accuracy in financial records.

Successful candidates will need to secure their own accommodation outside the park premises. The salary package is structured to consider this requirement.
Key Requirements
To be considered for the role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience: 2–3 years in a finance environment with experience in general ledger reconciliation.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is essential.

Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities for the Asset Controllers include but are not limited to:
- Asset Verification: Coordinating the annual physical verification of assets for allocated areas in the park.
- Policy Implementation: Enforcing corporate policies and procedures on fixed assets.
- Asset Register Maintenance: Ensuring the fixed asset register remains up to date and accurate.
- Asset Management Activities: Overseeing the acquisition, transfer, and disposal of assets.
- Auction Coordination: Facilitating asset auctions within the parks.
- Budget Monitoring: Tracking and reporting on the Capex budget for the region.
- Risk Management: Implementing risk management practices specific to asset management.
- Ledger Updates: Updating general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Project Coordination: Managing the capitalisation of asset-related capital projects.
- Other Duties: Handling additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Remuneration
- Salary Range: R354,947.02 – R579,755.22 annually
- Paterson Grade: C4
