Purpose of the Data Capturer Position
The Data Capturer will assist the M&E Specialist by capturing and consolidating facility and partner data. This role includes managing data for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, ensuring information is correctly processed and submitted on time.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Data Capturer, your responsibilities include:
- Data Management:
- Ensuring all weekly, monthly, and quarterly data is captured and consolidated.
- Updating databases with accurate, timely reports.
- Formatting and structuring data according to organizational standards.
- Coordination:
- Maintaining a register of individuals responsible for data submissions.
- Notifying the M&E Specialist when data submissions are delayed and recording all submissions.
- Collaboration:
- Interacting with THC staff and the Department of Health to gather subject-related data.
- Supporting colleagues and project management to meet organizational goals.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Filing, organizing, and managing data-related documentation.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Data Capturer Job Opportunity in Mthatha, you must meet the following requirements:

- Experience with TIER.Net software and data capturing/reporting
Additional Skills:
- Strong understanding of HIV/AIDS
