Key Responsibilities
As an Employer Audit Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the Implementation of UIA and COIDA Programmes: You will oversee the effective implementation of the Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA) and Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA) programs to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation.
- Providing Expert Advice: You will analyze systems and provide expert advice on sector-specific UIA and COIDA matters, helping employers and employees navigate the complexities of these regulations.
- Evaluating Program Impact: You will coordinate the process of monitoring and evaluating the impact of UIA and COIDA programs, ensuring they achieve their intended outcomes.
- Supporting Advocacy Campaigns: You will provide support in implementing advocacy campaigns related to UI and COIDA, regularly updating stakeholders on any amendments to these laws.
Requirements
To be eligible for the position of Employer Audit Officer, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Qualification: A three-year tertiary qualification in Labour Relations Management, BCOM Law, LLB, or Internal Audit.
- Experience: At least one year of functional experience in auditing.
- Additional Requirements: A valid driver’s license is essential.
- Knowledge and Skills: Candidates should possess knowledge of departmental policies and procedures, Batho Pele Principles, Public Service Act and Regulations, COIDA, UIA, PFMA, BCEA, SDLA, LRA, UI Contribution Act, and Skills Development Act. Skills in facilitation, planning and organizing, computer literacy, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, interviewing, written and verbal communication, innovation, analytical thinking, research, and project management are crucial for this role.
