Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this position, applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualifications:
- BSc Eng or B Eng in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer, Civil, Chemical, Metallurgical, or Industrial Engineering.
- ECSA registration as a Candidate Engineer.
- Related Experience:
- At least 2 years of technical experience in Power Generation, Transmission, or Distribution.
- Skills & Competencies:

- Knowledge: Proficiency in academic theories and practical knowledge related to engineering disciplines and asset care.

- Attributes: The role may require clear vision and physical capabilities necessary for performance in an engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, the successful candidates will be expected to:
- Execute Design Work: Contribute to engineering designs related to the maintenance, asset care, and refurbishment of Eskom’s infrastructure.
- Contribute to Asset Integrity: Ensure the operational integrity of Eskom’s asset base, minimizing failures and improving efficiency.
- Standardization Outputs: Work towards standardizing engineering practices, improving uniformity and quality.
- Technical Studies: Conduct and contribute to technical studies that support the optimization and future-proofing of Eskom’s systems.
