Key Responsibilities
As an Executive Protection Officer/Driver, your duties will include:
- Protection Services:
- Deliver comprehensive protection to ensure the safety of the Vice-Chancellor.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to their security.
- Chauffeur Duties:
- Provide efficient and secure driving services for the Vice-Chancellor.
- Remain alert and responsive during travel to ensure personal safety.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Regularly inspect and maintain vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
- Address any mechanical or operational issues promptly.
- Threat Assessment:
- Analyze security threats and suggest measures to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with the Line Manager on any emerging security concerns.
- Security Planning:
- Contribute to effective security strategies for the Vice-Chancellor.
- Execute specific protection plans as required.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- PRISA Grade B Security Certification (minimum).
Preferred Qualifications
- Matric Certificate (an added advantage).
- Certificate in Personal Protection Services (preferred).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with protective services and security protocols.
Skills:
- Excellent vision and hearing capabilities.
- Certified SAPS firearm competency.
- Proficiency in advanced driving techniques.
Attributes:
- Unwavering confidentiality and integrity.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, especially in challenging driving scenarios.
