Key Responsibilities
As a Facilitator at Boland College, your main role will be to guide and support students through the Knowledge and Practical modules of the QCTO (Quality Council for Trades and Occupations) Occupational Certificate: ECD Practitioner. You’ll integrate NCF (National Curriculum Framework) principles into your training delivery while ensuring that students receive a comprehensive and meaningful education.
Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitate Knowledge and Practical Modules: Deliver training and facilitate learning for students enrolled in the QCTO OC ECD Practitioner course.
- Integrate NCF Principles: Ensure that your teaching methods align with and integrate the principles of the National Curriculum Framework for Early Childhood Development.
- Student Support: Provide ongoing support to students as they progress through the qualification, offering assistance in both theoretical and practical aspects.
- Portfolio Management: Set up, monitor, and maintain student portfolios to track progress and achievements.
- Summative Knowledge Assessments: Administer and grade assessments to evaluate student knowledge.
- Practical Assessments: Conduct hands-on assessments to evaluate students’ practical skills in ECD.
- Workplace Introductions: Conduct introductory meetings at each workplace to ensure that students are integrated into real-world learning environments.
- Assessment Administration: Perform all aspects of assessment, including marking and evaluations.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this Facilitator Job Opportunity at Boland College, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- ECD Qualification: An Early Childhood Development qualification at NQF level 5 or above is essential.
- Experience: At least 3 years of facilitation experience in ECD, Educare, or Education and Development.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and own transport are required to facilitate travel to various locations as needed.
- TVET Sector Knowledge: A solid understanding of the TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) sector.
- Occupational Training Knowledge: Familiarity with occupational training processes is crucial.
