Minimum Requirements
- Education: Degree in Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, or Public Relations.
- Experience: 3-5 years in communication, marketing, or journalism roles, with at least 2 years at a mid-management level.
Skills:
- MS Office Suite: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to efficiently handle documentation, data analysis, presentations, and email communications.
- Project and Budget Management: Ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects within set budgets, ensuring resources are used effectively and objectives are met on time.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to assess communication strategies, evaluate their effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.
- Graphics: Knowledge of graphic design principles and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to create visually appealing marketing materials.
- Content Creation: Skilled in creating engaging and relevant content for various platforms, ensuring consistency and alignment with the NAC’s brand voice.
- Social Media Proficiency: Ability to manage and grow the NAC’s presence on social media platforms, engaging with the community and promoting the council’s initiatives.
- Event Planning: Competence in planning and executing events that effectively promote the NAC’s objectives and engage stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey messages clearly and persuasively to various audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and Execute: Conceptualize, plan, implement, and measure effective internal and external communication strategies.
- Reputation Management: Enhance the credibility and reputation of the NAC through strategic communication efforts.
- Digital Media: Develop and execute a technology-driven social and digital media strategy to promote the NAC’s initiatives and funding recipients.
- Consistency: Ensure monthly deliverables align with brand communication goals.
- Content Management: Manage and monitor external and internal communication initiatives, including print, online, email, newsletters, and press releases.
- Supervision: Supervise the marketing and communication assistant and oversee marketing material reviews.
- Event Planning: Conceptualize and organize events such as summits, commemorative events, roundtable discussions, and exhibitions in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Content Creation: Coordinate multimedia content and digital publications for the NAC’s website, intranet, and social media platforms.
- Social Media Management: Oversee content creation and management on social media sites like YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.
- Cross-Unit Collaboration: Collaborate with other business units to integrate marketing and communication strategies effectively.
