Responsibilities:
Provide Semi-Technical and Liaison Support:
- Manage Online and Manual Application Queries at campuses.
- Ensure adherence to NSFAS policies during registration processes.
- Communicate challenges promptly to relevant stakeholders.
- Track and report on project implementation within the CIO’s Office support programs.
Policy, Systems & Procedure Development:
- Contribute to the development and management of student accommodation/housing strategy, policies, guidelines, and procedures aligned with a student-centric model.
- Optimize processes in the student accommodation value chain to enhance the student experience.
Core Strategic Objectives:
- Centralize query management with robust reporting functionality.
- Ensure correct processing of NSFAS-funded students qualifying for private accommodation.
People Management & Ethical Leadership:
- Lead recruitment aligned with Employment Equity (EE) targets.
- Delegate and oversee student accommodation programs.
- Mentor and coach team members to deliver quality programs in line with NSFAS values.
- Manage performance contracting and reviews, as well as disciplinary matters.
Stakeholder Management & Relationships:
- Utilize accommodation policies and databases to resolve stakeholder queries.
- Share accredited accommodation provider lists with higher learning institutions for student convenience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on program development and policy matters.
Reporting & Accountability:
- Provide progress reports on strategic KPIs and operational plans.
- Manage stakeholder issues and interventions.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audits and risk management.
Requirements:
- NQF Level 7 in Commercial, Public Administration, Business Management.
- Over 5 years’ experience supporting student programs at higher institution level.
- Familiarity with lease agreements and dispute resolution processes.
- Good understanding of the higher education sector and systems.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite and SQL Certificate.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- NQF Level 8 or higher in Commercial, Public Administration, Business Management.
