Peer Tutors Job Overview

Requirements
1. NCV Programmes – 8 Peer Tutor Positions
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have obtained at least 70% in the subject they wish to tutor.
- Must have studied National Certificate (Vocational) in Transport & Logistics and Office Administration.
Important Notes:
- No history of misconduct; must exhibit good behavior and leadership skills.
- Must not have participated in a similar peer tutoring program before.
- Must be willing to work extra hours and assist students with special needs.
2. NATED/REPORT 191 Programmes – 3 Peer Tutor Positions
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have obtained at least 70% in the subject they wish to tutor.
- Must have studied the following subjects:
- Management Assistant/Public Relations: Information Processing N5 & Computer Practice N5.
- Public Management: Municipal Administration N5.
Important Notes:
- No history of misconduct; must exhibit good behavior and leadership skills.
- Must not have participated in a similar peer tutoring program before.
- Must be willing to work extra hours and assist students with special needs.
Roles and Responsibilities of Peer Tutors
As a peer tutor, you will:
- Provide educational support to students and assist in their studies.
- Develop learning strategies to help students overcome study challenges.
- Organize tutoring schedules and track student progress.
- Monitor students’ learning approaches and recommend improvements.
- Apply effective study plans to improve student focus and participation.
- Conduct tutorials in English to assist students at different levels.
