Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following academic and professional criteria:
Education:
- A minimum three-year Diploma or Degree in one of the following fields:
- Software Development
- Computer Science

- Or an equivalent qualification
Experience:
- At least 3 years of systems development experience, preferably as a Lead Developer.
Technical Expertise:
- Web and Mobile Development: Proficiency in modern development frameworks and languages.
- Programming Frameworks:
- .NET Core Framework
- ASP.NET
- MVC
- Web API and Core
- Frontend Technologies:
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript
- Libraries/Frameworks: jQuery, Angular, React
- Backend Development:

- Web Services (REST and SOAP)
- Workflow Systems
- Database Knowledge:
- SQL Server (2012-2019)

Key Responsibilities
As a Software Developer at CHIETA, your duties will span multiple aspects of software design, development, and user support. Here’s what the role entails:
Development and Support:
- Execute assigned programming and development tasks.
- Provide ICT support to various business units within CHIETA.
- Train and support end-users on software systems.
Collaboration:
- Conduct Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to discuss project progress and gather requirements.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and the University of Johannesburg’s project team to develop and maintain software guidelines.
Administrative Duties:
- Ensure proper documentation for all ICT Unit activities.
- Assist with generating reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Schedule appointments with service providers and business units.
