Key Responsibilities:
As a Supply Chain Management Practitioner, you will be responsible for the following:
- Bid Administration Function:
- Provide support in the administration of bid processes, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the completion and submission of bid documentation.
- Departmental Procurement Plan:
- Compile the Departmental Procurement Plan and monitor progress to ensure all procurement activities are conducted efficiently and effectively.
- Support Services for Specifications/Terms of Reference (TOR):
- Assist in the development of specifications and TOR, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with departmental objectives.
- Acquisition Management Service:
- Oversee the acquisition process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services in line with relevant regulations.
- People Management:
- Manage and mentor team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (or equivalent qualification).
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Supply Chain Management environment.
- Experience in bids administration and a valid code B (or higher) driving license is highly recommended. Note: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities but have reasonable access to transport may also apply.
Essential Competencies and Skills:

- Knowledge of:
- Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
- National Treasury Regulations (NTRs)
- Provincial Treasury Directives/Instructions (PTIs)
- Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA)
- Black Economic Empowerment (BEE)
- General procurement activities and contract management guidelines.
- Skills in:
- Report writing
- Numeracy and analytical skills

- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite)
- Project management and strategic planning.
Remuneration:
- Annual Salary: R 308 154 per annum (Salary level 7).
