Essential Requirements:
- Qualifications: Grade 10
- Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- 3 years of experience in maintaining general civils infrastructure. This includes work related to thatching, roofing, waterproofing, ropework, netting, fencing, and/or manufacturing.
Job Description:
The Maintenance Handyman is responsible for monitoring the condition of various infrastructure within uShaka Marine World. They perform installation, maintenance, and repairs to general civils infrastructure, including:
- Thatching
- Roofing
- Waterproofing
- Ropework and netting
- Installation and maintenance of fencing

2. Revenue Accountant
Essential Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- Matric/Grade 12
- A 3-year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Finance
- Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- 5 years of experience in the accounting environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- 2 years of experience in managing debtors.
- Familiarity with GRAP, MFMA, and Caseware software.
Job Description:
The Revenue Accountant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the revenue accounting functions at uShaka Marine World. This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of efficient accounting services, including:
- Monitoring, classifying, controlling, and reporting all revenues.
- Reviewing and approving invoices, receipts, CSVs, and rental debit orders.
- Preparing internal and external financial reports and summaries.
- Coordinating long-range plans and budget requirements.
- Steering the preparation of financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing audits by EMARUS and the Auditor General of South Africa.

3. Revenue/Payroll Clerk
Essential Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- Matric/Senior Certificate
- 3-year Diploma or Degree in Finance
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- 3 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years specifically in payroll management.
- Proficiency in payroll systems.
Job Description:
The Revenue/Payroll Clerk ensures accurate and efficient management of payroll systems at uShaka Marine World. Duties include:
- Verification of data captured by HR, including adjustments, extensions, and transfers.
- Capturing payroll inputs and deductions accurately.
- Ensuring the correct processing of medical aid, pension contributions, and other benefits on the system.
- Preparing and reconciling payroll-related financial data, ensuring that payroll bank accounts match the payments made.
- Managing statutory reports to SARS and the Department of Labour.
- Issuing IRP5s and resolving payroll-related employee issues.
- Reconciling mid-year and year-end EMP501 filings and IRP5 forms using the SARS easy-file program.
- Managing daily reviews, processing, and reconciliations related to merchandising and parking revenue.
- Producing detailed financial reports for assigned revenue centers and reconciling stock counts from various outlets.
This position is ideal for individuals with financial expertise who can handle payroll management with accuracy and diligence.
