Ward Committee Officer Job Summary:
The Midvaal Local Municipality is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to fill the role of Ward Committee Officer. This position is based in Meyerton and is a fixed-term contract under the Office of the Speaker. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in public administration, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a deep understanding of political and organizational policies.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matriculation)
- National Diploma in Public Administration (advantageous)
- Skills and Competencies:

- Valid driver’s license

- Experience:
- At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in ward committee or community-related services/programs
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Administrative Operations:
- Managing the distribution of Ward Committee resolutions to relevant stakeholders
- Arranging, compiling, and distributing agendas and minutes for Ward Committee meetings
- Attending Ward Committee meetings and liaising with stakeholders to promote good working relations between ward committees and the council
- Planning workflow to create a favorable image of the council
- Conflict and Grievance Resolution:
- Addressing conflicts, disputes, and grievances as they arise
- Operational Planning:
- Developing and implementing operational/business plans in conjunction with ward committees to improve customer service
- Additional Duties:
- Performing any other related ad hoc duties as required by the Speaker, Supervisor, or Top Management
Salary and Benefits
