About the IT Developer Role
HWSETA is seeking a talented and experienced IT Developer to support the development of ERP programs on the ODOO platform, an open-source platform widely recognized for its flexibility and scalability. The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing our business applications, ensuring high-quality output through adherence to best coding practices, and participating in the entire development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Qualification Advantageous: Relevant educational background will be beneficial.
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of development experience in Python.
- Proficiency in Python, Javascript, and XML.
- Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix development environments.
- Readiness to learn new languages and frameworks.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Sound knowledge or exposure to Odoo.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Application Development: Utilize the Odoo framework and components for application development.
- Bug Fixing and Performance Optimization: Address bugs, optimize performance, and provide production support.
- Customization and Migration: Engage in Odoo development activities including customization, code migration, data migration, and import.
- Report Generation: Generate ERD reports, conduct functional tests, user acceptance tests, automation tests, and unit tests.
- Technical Specifications: Analyze and clarify functional specifications, write technical specifications, design technical structures, and implement business logic.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the team to plan, scope, design, develop, test, implement, support, and enhance business applications and their features.
- Project Planning: Understand requirements and participate in project planning by estimating work to be done.
- Coding Best Practices: Follow prescribed coding and development best practices to ensure high-quality output.
- Development Methods: Adhere to the latest development methods, including continuous deployment and integration.
