Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Qualification: A qualification in Office Management, Administration, or a related field (NQF Level 7).
- Work Experience:
- A minimum of three years’ experience in office management and administration support at a senior level.
- At least three years’ experience working at a higher education institution.
- Skills & Competencies:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a highly professional and confidential environment.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) for Teaching and Learning. The key duties include:
- Office Administration & Secretarial Support
- Act as Personal Assistant (PA) to the DVC: Teaching and Learning.
- Manage the DVC’s office and diary, ensuring effective scheduling and prioritization.
- Handle correspondence, documents, and official communications.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as the main contact point between the DVC’s office and various university departments.
- Meetings & Event Coordination
- Organize and manage departmental meetings and events.
- Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and reports for relevant meetings.
- Administrative Duties & Faculty Support
- Support administrative duties related to the departments, Heads of Department (HODs), and faculty events.
- Assist with resource mobilization activities in collaboration with the DVC.
- Travel & Logistics Management
- Manage local and international travel bookings for the DVC.
- Ensure smooth execution of travel plans, accommodation, and transport logistics.
