Key Responsibilities
The selected candidates will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality nursing care. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing basic patient care for all patients.
- Providing effective clinical nursing care.
- Managing human and financial resources within budget constraints.
- Participating in community events to promote health awareness.
- Maintaining professional ethical standards and engaging in continuous self-development.
Minimum Requirements
Educational and Professional Qualifications:
- Grade 1: No prior experience is required.
- Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years of appropriate nursing experience post-registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse.
- Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years of appropriate nursing experience post-registration with SANC as a Staff Nurse.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid registration with the South African Nursing Council.
- A valid driver’s license (Code B/EB).
- Willingness to travel and support other clinics within the sub-district, including work on a mobile health clinic bus.
Personal Attributes and Skills
Applicants should demonstrate:
- The ability to make independent decisions and function within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant nursing legislation, policies, and protocols as outlined by the Western Cape Department of Health.
Employment Benefits
Successful candidates will receive:
- Grade 1 Salary: R209,112 per annum
- Grade 2 Salary: R248,613 per annum
- Grade 3 Salary: R290,805 per annum
- Service benefits include a 13th cheque, employer pension contributions, housing allowances, and medical aid allowances.
