Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will have an array of responsibilities focused on supporting and ensuring efficient procurement and supply chain processes. Your daily duties will include:
- Compliance and Evaluation:
- Ensure adherence to supply chain legislation and internal Standard Operating Procedures.
- Evaluate purchase requisitions to confirm specific requirements are met.
- Supplier Coordination:
- Source service providers from the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and process Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
- Assist in tender processing, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and monitor stock levels.
- Initiate reordering when necessary to ensure consistent availability of essential goods.
- Quality Assurance:
- Confirm that all received goods meet the required standards in terms of quality and quantity.
- Address and resolve supply chain issues quickly to avoid any disruptions in service.
- Professional Communication:
- Maintain open communication with stakeholders, management, and external suppliers.
- Ensure accurate data entry and processing, including capturing purchase orders and managing vendor files.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible for consideration:
- Education: A 3-year Diploma (or equivalent NQF level 6) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in Supply Chain Administration, preferably within the public sector.
- Knowledge: A background in Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), inventory management, and SETA processes is an advantage.

- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and database management.
