Qualifications and Experience Required
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Background:
- A Grade 12 certificate.
- A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Information Technology.
- Professional Experience:
- At least three years’ experience in ICT Governance or the Cybersecurity field.
- Practical knowledge and experience with technologies such as Checkpoint, Symantec, and Microsoft Applications (Active Directory, Exchange, File and Print Services).
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in cloud technologies and information security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), data leakage protection (DLP), access management, anti-malware, and SIEM technologies.
- Certifications (desirable but not mandatory):
- Security+, SSCP, CEH, CISSP, or other similar professional information security certifications.
